Dearest friends,
April was a busy month! Not only did I have two back-to-back releases, Five Golden Names and The Tide Runners, but I also worked with French translators and proofeaders to ensure all my French books were up-to-par. I still need to upload the revised editions and that could take a while!
Raconteur Press, who published The Tide Runners seem to be pleased with book 1’s success and have requested book 2. Once I get the contract, I’ll tell you when to expect it, but I wager it will be next fall.
Meanwhile, three more of my short stories were picked up by online magazines:
The Copper Fox Society - Polar Borealis Magazine
The Quiet Market - Tales and Feathers Magazine
The Girl in the Shed - Dreamforge Magazine
As soon as the stories are published, I’ll add the links to my website.
I’ll be writing daily short stories again this may and submitting them to anthologies and magazines. Of the 30 stories I wrote and submitted last year, 18 were published!
I plan to run a Kickstarter for Special Editions of the North Pole University series. If I get a lot of interest, I may consider starting on the North Pole Academy books.
I turn 55 next week and that number has always been synonymous of retirement for me. While I obvioulsy cannot stop writing, I’ve written and published an average of 12 books per year over the last 6 years. I think 3 or 4 per year going forward would be a reasonable equivalent of ‘retirement’. Don’t you?
Thanks for your continued support,
Marie-Hélène
